Encourage me and I may not forget you

Childhood should be a happy time spent playing with friends, enjoying a favorite toy--even planning for the first day of school. But children in the developing world spend most of their childhood struggling to survive, without much hope for a secure, productive life. A fret of child labor exists from poverty. We have to realize as why children go to labor. If parents aren’t agreeing to send their children to work we are sure that percentage of child labor in our country will change within no time. Why poor parents feel children as their property who will earn wealth for their families?

“Where there is patience and humility, there is neither anger nor vexation”

Some percentage of child labor comes from brutality/harassments by parents or stepparents. They are mainly from urban areas of poor.

This percentage is too less and easily controllable by penalties to such parents and children rights. But rural poverty and lack of employment or partial employment and illiteracy has given birth to majority of child labor problem. Nearly 30% of population in poor countries is poorest of poor who are not even able to earn enough for one day food with big family have to largely depend on children to earn and feed. Parents of these children are mainly illiterate or semi literate are unable to find jobs, which can provide enough salary. Dream of education to children is impossible unless suitable employment opportunities made available to at least one person in the family. Simply by opening schools and providing books are not sufficient measures. We need to understand the reason behind child labor that is poverty and unemployment. Minimizing poverty and creation of more and more suitable jobs to parents are the only solution of eradication of majority of child labor and poverty alleviation problems.

After the disaster of 8 October 2005 there is lot of homeless families and some have became widows, according to their situations they allow their children for work. Children work on the land and in the village; in and around the home; on the streets; in the crafts and trading; but a growing number are also found working as wage laborer, casually hired, just as casually fired.

They are mostly found nearly everywhere. No one is sure how many children work because of child laborers and care and social services. According to ILO (International Labor Office), if children work they must be protected from working too young, exploitation and hazardous conditions of work, long hours of work and night work, heavy loads, and so on. Certainly they need safety and good health in the work place and have program to bring a proper recognition of the needs of children among parents and the general public.

The best way to reduce the percentage of child labor gave chance to empower the youth and to provide them professional skills, and for about widows the essential thing for encouraging them is to provide these widows a suitable job from where they can carry out the expenses of their families.
